Our mission is to create a space where individuals of all ages can experience the energy of Bhangra while building fitness, confidence, and cultural connection through movement.

Our Story

 

Bhangra Fitness was created to bring the energy, discipline, and cultural roots of Bhangra into a structured training environment. The organization was founded with the goal of creating a space where authentic Bhangra movement could be taught with purpose, combining traditional techniques with modern fitness and coaching methods. Today, Bhangra Fitness provides a welcoming environment where individuals of all ages can train, improve their physical fitness, and connect with the cultural foundations of Bhangra through movement and community.

 

Founder

 

Bhangra Fitness was founded by Kamal Sandhu, whose background in competitive Bhangra and years of experience in the art form helped shape the vision behind the organization. Through involvement in performances and competitions at school, college, university, and international levels, Kamal developed a strong understanding of the discipline, technique, and cultural significance of Bhangra. This experience helped lay the foundation for Bhangra Fitness and its commitment to authentic movement, structured coaching and positive community impact.

 

Our Philosophy

 

At Bhangra Fitness, we believe Bhangra is more than just dance. It represents culture, discipline, and expression. Our training focuses on building strong fundamentals while encouraging individuals to develop confidence, physical strength, and a deeper appreciation for the art form. Every session is designed to support personal growth through movement, consistency and positive encouragement.
